VLOG | Washington D.C. Day One!

I'm in Washington D.C.

I know it's a school night during the middle of the semester, but I'm in the nation's capital for an awesome computer science conference. And... I made my first vlog! For those of you who don't know what a vlog is, it's a "video blog" and this one in particular semi-documents my first day in D.C. (what you don't see is me having to chase after the bus on the way to the airport).

My favorite part of my day was... dinner! Of course because I'm obsessed with food, but this time I dined at a five star Lebanese restaurant which was one of the best dining experiences I've had. The food was endless (literally though), the staff was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious. Plus, we were having dinner with the owner who's possibly opening the restaurant in Austin!

Tomorrow will be full of workshops and keynote speakers that I'm really excited for. I've come to accept the fact that I'm becoming a total CS nerd. No big deal.

Goodnight guys!

  5. Inside your world! A Day with Darbie! I LOVED IT!

Was this the BEYA Conference? I was supposed to attend this year, but let the deadline slip pass me. I will be there next year though.

    I hope you enjoyed yourself!

    1. Carla, it wasn't the BEYA Conference but I just looked that up and it's so strange that such similar conferences were going on at the same time in the same city! They're almost the same type of conference. I'll definitely be looking into going next year, maybe we can meet up!
